What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Food Service position at Gaylord Community Schools?
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly energetic and dedicated individual to join our administrative team! The Director of Food Service is responsible for managing all aspects of the district's school nutrition and food service program. The Director of Food Service is responsible for the administration, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the GCS food service program in order to meet the nutritional and educational needs of students in the district. Additionally, the Director of Food Service is responsible for directing the district’s food service program in conformance with local, state, and federal regulations and requirements including public health and safety.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired through the completion of a four-year college degree program, such as a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Service Administration or Nutrition.
· A minimum of five to seven years of progressively more responsible experience, including three to five years of supervisory responsibility.
· Previous experience in working in a food services/school nutrition.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has supervisory responsibilities for district food service staff.
EMPLOYMENT TERMS
· 11 month work year (August through June)
· Salary is commensurate with education and experience
