Requirements:
- Minimum seven years experience working for a GC on large commercial construction projects.
- Bachelors of Science degree in construction management or related degree
- Experience developing conceptual estimates
- Great communication skills and ability to work in a team setting.
- Knowledge of On-Screen Takeoff, Construction Online, Procore, BlueBeam, MC2, CostX, or other estimating software is REQUIRED.
- Familiarity with 2D/3D software such as Assemble, Revit is a plus
- Bi-lingual in Korean is a plus
Functional Areas of Responsibility include:
- Reviews blueprints and drawings for both negotiated and hard bid projects.
- Preparing detailed quantity and cost take-offs.
- Develop conceptual estimates
- Verification of shop drawing accuracy and distribution of shop drawings.
- Setting up computer models for compiling cost data received for subcontractors and estimating staff.
- Drafting of field sketches and other related functions.
- Working with architects and owners in value-engineering when preliminary estimates exceed the owners’ budgets. Finds architectural alternatives and prices them out for cost savings.
- Maintaining and updating the master bid list.
- Additional duties on occasion such as purchasing and scheduling.
- Develop network with subcontractors' estimating staff
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
