Summary of Position
Position available in Hollister, CA. and Morgan Hill, CA.
Our Sanitation Lead will be responsible for leading in process our sanitation team to ensure that our operations facility is clean and sanitary during the production shifts and will follow our sanitation programs and ensure we are complying with all company sanitary policies and procedures. Willing to work in a hot or cold, soiled, and wet environment continuously. Dependability and flexibility are essential in this role. Success in this role requires our lead to have good communication skills, ability to train, able to work with chemicals, identify issues and report them and always enforces safety regulations, internal safety protocols are always in the forefront of the working day.

- Ensure cleanliness around facility, freezer, and production area.
Job Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Assigns and directs cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and work areas:
- Lead and assist with the cleaning and organization of the facility,
- Lead and assist with the sanitation of processing equipment and utensils.
- Lead and assist with the sanitation In-Process cleaning.
Able to work collaboratively cross functionally
- work and coordinate with all departments to address the sanitation needs of areas required.

- Complete sanitation records
- Verifying all sanitation records are completed by team members timely and accurately
Oversee and assist with all applicable chemical verification and testing.
Perform applicable utensils, equipment and building inspections and correct findings.
Able to operate a pallet jack

- notify management of potential food safety, and safety issues

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalents
- Able to work independently, follow directions and lead others.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels.
- General understanding of the manufacturing process, equipment and basic food safety practices (GMP’s).
- Able to work within a flexible schedule and overtime hours as needed.
- Knowledge and ability to operate basic tools, pallet jacks, etc.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Able to work with cleaning chemicals, identify issues, determine root cause, provide feedback, comprehend and comply with all company policies, procedures, and programs.
- Bilingual, Spanish required
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work in a hot/cold, soiled, and wet environment continuously.
- Hair nets, ear plugs/muffs, hardhats, respiratory protection, gloves, boots, aprons and/or rain suits may be required to be worn.
- Ability to constantly or continuously:
- Handle material from floor to waist level.
- Walk or stand for extended periods.
- Bend, extend or twist your neck and back.
- Frequently grip, reach, lift or pull equipment.
- Able to handle or be in contact with sanitation or cleaning chemicals.
- Frequent climbing of stairs and able to work in elevated areas.
