POSITION SUMMARY:
Maintain production machines running. Complete any administrative duties for department personnel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Performs leadership role by managing department personnel, designating positions, organizing labor assignments, and coordinating special projects.
- Performs machine maintenance. Trains personnel and monitors jobs in progress.
- Reviews pricing and availability, determines necessity of purchases, and tracks inventory.
- Performs preventative maintenance by controlling progress scheduling, identifying areas that need night shift personnel, and performing repairs.
- OSHA Compliance by checking for safety violations, monitoring hazardous waste, and implementing safety procedures.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
This position also performs other projects for the company as needed.

While performing the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear and sit. This job also requires close vision at 20 inches or less. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong experience in production machine maintenance.
- Degrees, licenses or certificates are a plus.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Leadership qualities
- Knowledge of all aspects of maintenance (electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc.)
- Organization and planning skills
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
- Follow-up Skills
- Negotiation skills
- Math aptitude
- Self-starter and team player
- Work is performed in a machine shop and manufacturing plant setting. Must be flexible and available to work additional hours when necessary.
