Job Title : Facility Manager
Position Summary :
The Facility Manager’s primary responsibility is to manage yard maintenance and upkeep of all facility assets and equipment, warehouse inventory management, and tool room operations and supplies. This position supports and services both operations and project management teams and is vital to the success of the company’s work. The Facility Manager will monitor and maintain the daily operations of the facility while also ensuring the facility’s safety, security, and cleanliness meet standards and policies. The Facility Manager must also maintain the facility’s inventory of maintenance supplies needed, while also managing the facility’s budget for equipment and supplies needed.
Key Responsibilities :
Responsibilities and duties will include, but are not limited to :
- Maintain day-to-day operations for facility maintenance, warehousing, and tool room.
- Perform routine maintenance on the facility and make repairs as needed.
- Develop a preventive maintenance plan and oversee its success.
- Plan and schedule routine inspections and emergency repairs to be done with minimal to no impact on operations. Manage outside specialty subcontractor work accordingly when used to compliment in house maintenance team.
- Monitor the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as production spaces, warehouses, offices, conference rooms, parking lots, and outdoor recreation spaces.
- Ensure proper security measures for the facility, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals. Maintain compliance in accordance with project requirements.
- Plan for and prepare facility for changing weather conditions. Ensure readiness.
- Manage warehousing and tool room inventories of products, parts, and supplies. Ensure adequate levels of inventory and usage.
- Purchase materials, equipment, or other resources. Ascertain outside vendor needs and quotes.
- Dispose of, or oversee the disposal of, surplus or unclaimed property.
- Create reports on maintenance, repairs, inventories, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff. Develop and share key KPI metrics for key management performance indicators. Set goals with General Manager.
- Plan, administer, and control budgets for contracts, equipment, and supplies.
- Ensures that safety policies and procedures are adhered to in the work place and that all work is performed safely.
- Personnel management of operational employees under your leadership which includes recruitment, supervision, discipline, review and approval of pay increases, training, coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations. Manage the annual overhead budget for aspects responsible for. This includes working with the General Manager to develop the budgets for business planning.
- Research and gather information for facility improvements that are production related, including capital expense projects and large maintenance projects.
- Collaborate with upper management on budgeting for facility needs.
Qualifications :
Minimum : 5 to 7 years of experience in facility management and maintenance.
Preferred : 8 to 15 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and The employee must comply with established company safety rules and OSHA standards.
The employee must be physically and medically qualified to wear required personal protective equipment as prescribed under OSHA standards.
Must be able to hear warning signals and read and comprehend safety instructions, regulations, and warnings.
