Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. We are a breakfast Restaurant. great hours from 7 to 4 pm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and safety, along with excellent leadership skills to manage kitchen operations effectively. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and innovative menu items while ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety are maintained. This role requires a commitment to hospitality and teamwork, making it essential for the Chef to work collaboratively with the dietary department and kitchen staff.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking in the kitchen.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Plan and develop menus that cater to diverse dietary needs while incorporating seasonal ingredients.
- Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
- Lead and train kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork.
- Monitor food presentation and quality to ensure consistency with established standards.
- Collaborate with the hospitality team to create memorable dining experiences for guests.
- Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate innovative techniques into menu offerings.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and safety standards.
- Experience in menu planning and development, with an emphasis on creativity and nutrition.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management within a kitchen environment.
- Familiarity with dietary department operations is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
