What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Engineer in Training - Cement Manufacturing position at GCC?

Experience and abilities you will need:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering required.
Must be comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Solid computer skills with knowledge of database, project management, spreadsheet, and word processing software; experience with local area networks and PC operating systems.
Availability to travel and/or possible relocation where cement plants are based for training purposes and/or to occupy a position at the end of the training period.
Experience or interest in managing environmental projects and compliance activities.
What you will do:
Perform and coordinate technical assignments designed to develop professional working knowledge, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria that are necessary to fulfill the experience requirement as a professional in the cement operations with programs tailored to the company needs in our different plants and locations.
Remain knowledgeable of current industry standards and technology. Responsible for staying updated on the state of the art and industry best practices regarding cement plant operations.
Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
Create safe job procedures for new employees.
Participate in the creation of preventative maintenance routines (PMRs), lubrication schedules spare requirements and bills of materials (BOMs) for new equipment.
Provide technical expertise to all process areas.
Learning about planning, budgeting, scheduling, and efficient execution of plant projects.
Assistance with preventative/predictive maintenance programs (Inspection, Vibration, Oil Analysis, NDT, etc.) to ensure optimum equipment availability.
Analysis and elimination of repetitive problems through root cause analysis, Pareto’s, statistical review, FMEA and similar techniques.
Assist with facilitation of continuous improvement processes.
Responsible for communicating maintenance engineering improvement needs within the facility to the maintenance manager.
Assist with planning of plant outages.
Review critical maintenance plans (PMs, Predictive, critical equipment identification, and enhanced maintenance programs).
Use of key performance indicators [KPIs] to measure, analyze, develop action plans to improve where needed, and focus the business on raising plant operating performance in key areas as reliability, availability, mean time between failure, % uptime, and maintenance cost per ton.
Act as technical resource learning about major equipment reliability issues and corrective action steps to protect the assets.
Participate in assignments to support and learn about other departments such us: Laboratory, Quarry and Production
Other duties/projects/assignments as required.
