Summary:
The primary responsibilities of the Site Controller include ownership of all financial activities, including financial and cost accounting, inventory controls, FP&A, audit and tax support, risk management, credit and collections and cash management for the Addison site.
Responsibilities: the responsibilities of the Site Controller include, but are not limited to:
Accounting and Reporting:

Serving as the local Site Controller for the Addison, IL location, including overall responsibility for, and active participation in, the Addison plant accounting functions.
- Planning and coordinating all accounting operational functions
- Generating accurate and timely financial reports within established time constraints as required
- Working closely with the CFO to coordinate and implement shared processes and practices across the entire Finance organization.
- Assessing current accounting operations and evaluating internal control systems. Maintaining and promoting a strong internal control environment within the company. Identifying possible weaknesses and developing systems/processes to close any gaps in conjunction with the financial policies of the company.
- Implementing, documenting, and maintaining adequate and effective accounting processes and internal controls to improve the close and reporting cycles to ensure timely and accurate reporting and effective internal controls.

Managing the accumulation and preparation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of site business results. Including, but not limited to:
- Preparing workpapers supporting the monthly close process and month end balances.
- Reviewing and recording of journal entries required to reflect the monthly activity.
- Reviewing monthly accounting close process including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained.
- Instilling continual improvement within cost accounting to increase accuracy, detail, and usability of costing data. Ensuring that the average cost, labor, and burden rate for all products are calculated appropriately.
- Supporting the activities of the outside CPA firm(s), including the annual financial and benefit audits and tax returns.
- Overseeing the processes and processing of day-to-day A/R and A/P functions within the Addison site.
Finance:
- Coordinating and participating in the preparation of annual budget and quarterly forecasts, incorporating historical results and future assumptions.
- Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process. Preparing and reviewing weekly/monthly reports with senior management to identify drivers of variances and provide meaningful and insightful commentary on the same.
- Developing and monitoring reporting and business performance metrics. Providing relevant and timely analysis, insights, and recommendations to aid the business.
Treasury:
- Administering relationships with banking institutions and serve as primary liaison between the bank(s) and the site.
- Coordinating Insurance coverages with broker to maintain adequate coverage and mitigate risk.
Compliance:
- Complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
General:
- Supervising, coaching and developing Addison site Finance personnel.
- Hiring, training and retaining of skilled Finance staff.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate complex topics clearly, concisely, and influentially across all audiences. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate empathy yet remain influential and decisive when dealing with others in the organization.
- Knowledge and comfort in all aspects of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) with deep expertise in Cost Accounting demonstrated by relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced competency and comfort with financial management and accounting software. Epicor experience a distinct advantage.
- Conscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work product. Accountable for specific performance.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required. MBA a plus.
- C.P.A. and/or C.M.A designations are preferred, but not required.
- 5 years of experience in the accounting and finance sector, with a significant portion of accounting and finance experience within a manufacturing plant environment.
- 4 years of experience managing accountants and the accounting and finance process.
- 3 years in a position equivalent to a Controller or higher responsibilities in a manufacturing environment.
- National accounting firm audit experience is preferred, but not required.
- Strong experience in both the private and public accounting sectors is preferred, but not required.
- Superior computer skills including advanced user skill with Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Advanced working knowledge and experience with Business Systems and related software.
Salary : $97,000 - $123,000
