What are the responsibilities and job description for the Networking Onsite Field Technician position at GCT?
NEEDED IMMEDIATELY - MUST HAVE TOOLS - PAY IS NEGOTIABLE
A well-rounded Network Field Technician, with Cat5 cable, networking and troubleshooting experience to join our team. This position can be based anywhere that is centrally located to East Texas. POS & VOIP experience is a plus.

This position is for a Networking/IT on-site servicing, diagnostics and repair technician.
Must have:

Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision.
Able to document all service calls in a methodical way for accurate historical description of issues and procedures for Company purposes and future service technician calls.
Day-to-day:

Must be skilled in all aspects of networking, VOIP & POS.
Proficient in all aspects of network cabling. Including testing, repairing or replacing.
Proficient basic computer security.
Ability to analyze, evaluate, and resolve hardware and software problems and conflicts.
Troubleshoot hardware and software as needed for client problem resolution.
Install new workstations, migrate programs, data, settings, reestablish all connections and backups.
Install firewalls and commercial wireless networks.
Provide break/fix on things such as, POS, VOIP, cameras, APs.
Manage client rapport for ongoing long-term relationships.
Must be a self-starter, be able to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude with client base.
This is an on-the-road Client-facing position.
Assist other technicians as needed when they are in the field.

- Mechanical Aptitude a MUST
- Above average understanding of basic electricity and electronics
- Providing PC hardware, software and network support.
- Experience pulling and terminating Cat5 cable
- ALL tools that are required to perform and complete assignments.
- Personal reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel to and from customer sites local to East Texas and surrounding areas.
