HOW A KNOWLEDGE MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Operations Analyst that performs work in a small team capacity and can support a dynamic customer responsible for the following: Support various activities within a complex and chaotic customer environment, from incident investigations, inspections, audits, assessments, documentation, data collection, research, reporting, to briefing flag-level officers and other requirements. Responsible for completing assigned goals and working with little to no supervision. Must have experience in working in US Army Division and/or Corps-level and be familiar with that level of command and its working policies and processes. Experience with DoD level policy in regard to information handling, CAPCO markings and handling of sensitive and classified documents, processes and procedures. Experience in policy writing and interpretation. Work in a cross functional team with other departments and agencies and coordinate across military services and DoD organizations to evaluate and understand initiatives and gaps. Maintain references, record documents and information from a variety of sources related to providing support. Aid in responding to short-fused and occasionally flag-level, requests for information and/or justification for initiatives and assessments. Conduct research and become highly knowledgeable in emerging topics and as required to support investigations. Document investigations and provide recommendations and decision briefs to the customer.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- BS/BA; preferred in a relevant knowledge management discipline.
- Minimum three years of experience working with MS SharePoint environment or similar web-based collaboration software tool(s).
- Minimum three years of experience with web design/collaboration tools and content management.
- Minimum of five years supervisory experience.
- Experience in managing and directing a dispersed knowledge management program with at least 5 off-site/distant locations.
- Experience working with Government sensitive data and installation Network Enterprise Center(s) (NEC).
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply policy and rules.
- Research skills for gathering information.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience in Signature Reduction / Risk Mitigation.
- Skilled in standard approaches in gathering, analyzing, documenting and briefing information.
- Ability to effectively convey requirements, concerns and capabilities to all levels of management in a clear and concise manner.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- US Army Division and/or Corps-level experience.
- Experience managing & leading teams.
- Experience supporting military personnel and units.
- Experience in Project Management.
- Experience in legal background / investigations.
DoD SkillBridge Eligibility:
Has served at least 180 days on active duty
Can participate within the last 6 months of separation or retirement
Will receive an honorable discharge
Has taken any service TAP/TGPS
Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months
Received Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to start of the fellowship.
