PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: Falls Church, Pentagon, Alexandria, Arlington (Onsite 2-3 days per week at Chief Digital and AI Office)
DURATION: 1 Year
RATE: $57/hr - $65/hr
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Contract

Overview: GD Resources seeks a skilled Mid-Level Full Stack Software Engineer with expertise in Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning, model development, Machine Learning operations, and applied data science. This role involves working on cutting-edge projects to design, develop, and optimize software solutions that empower advanced AI initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver scalable and secure AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop software architectures, APIs, frameworks, and libraries for AI-based applications.
- Create front-end and back-end components and tools to streamline the prototyping process.
- Maintain and enhance existing in-production applications, addressing bugs, security updates, and capability enhancements.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to define and deliver innovative AI solutions.
- Develop plans, roadmaps, and strategies for rapid prototyping of AI capabilities, including Generative AI.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams, including data scientists and UX designers, to craft scalable software designs.
- Document requirements, specifications, and system designs, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Stay updated on AI and software development trends, contributing to the evolution of internal tools and methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree plus 5-7 years of experience or a Master’s degree plus 3 years of experience.
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and an additional programming language (Java preferred).
- Experience with front-end frameworks (React or Vue) and back-end frameworks (Node.js, Spring Boot, Flask, etc.).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, CI/CD tools, and containerization using Kubernetes.
- Expertise in modern software architectures (e.g., microservices) and database frameworks (e.g., SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and collaborate across teams.
- Ability to synthesize requirements, recommend solutions, and meet aggressive timelines.
- DoDD 8140 IAT Level III certification preferred.
Desired Skills
- Experience in DevSecOps practices and tooling.
- Knowledge of optimizing software for performance and scalability.
- Proficiency in designing AI solutions with cross-disciplinary teams.
