Location: Riana Campground, Abiquiu Lake, NM
Contract Duration: April – October (Base Year 4 Option Years)
Work Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off, 24-hour availability during assigned weeks
Job Summary
GD Resources is seeking a Park Attendant Contractor to provide customer service, fee collection, and visitor assistance at the entrance gate and throughout the Riana Campground. The Park Attendant will ensure a welcoming, safe, and well-maintained environment for visitors while enforcing park rules and assisting with campground operations.
Key Responsibilities
Visitor Services & Security
- Greet and assist visitors upon entry.
- Provide information about park rules, regulations, and amenities.
- Monitor visitor compliance with campground rules, including quiet hours.
- Report accidents, disturbances, or rule violations to park rangers or law enforcement.
- Conduct a minimum of four (4) park inspections per day to ensure visitor safety and facility conditions.
Fee Collection & Administration
- Register campers and issue permits.
- Collect and remit campground fees using the Recreation.gov (R1S) system.
- Maintain accurate financial records and submit fee reports weekly.
- Handle credit card transactions and issue receipts.
- Secure and manage collected funds per government regulations.
Operations & Maintenance
- Open and close campground gates daily.
- Maintain cleanliness of the gatehouse and assigned work areas.
- Assist in managing campground reservations and posting signs for reserved sites.
- Respond to emergency situations, including contacting first responders when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- Experience in customer service, security, or park management is preferred.
- Must be able to handle financial transactions and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work independently and provide excellent visitor service.
- Must provide a self-contained RV/motorhome for temporary living at the campground.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Must pass a background check (no felony convictions, registered offenders, or security risks).
Other Requirements
- Required to complete a two-day training/orientation before the contract begins.
- Must wear provided identification gear (vest, name tag, and ball cap) during work hours.
- No soliciting, advertising, or accepting gratuities from visitors.
