This senior-level position involves technical designs and support of global Enterprise Active Directory environments and is associated with Microsoft products and services. The role is available at one of the two locations: Hanscom AFB, MA or Scott AFB, IL. As a key technical point of contact, you will be instrumental in supporting Community of Excellence (COE) requests and ensuring the seamless operation of IT-related activities across multiple bases. Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the Enterprise AD team leader to support COE requests and daily operational domain activities including LDAP integration, certificates, group policy admin, domain controller deployment, and support.
- Manage privilege assignments, group memberships, and GPO directory access controls, ensuring compliance with domain security while prioritizing usability.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, and prioritizing problems to minimize impact on system operations.
- Recommend and implement system enhancements to improve performance and reliability including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
- Maintain, configure, and ensure reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, Raritan, and virtualization environments.
- Monitor and support local SQL databases, ensuring data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures are in place and effective.
- Develop, maintain, and document technical processes and procedures, providing detailed and timely updates to tickets and projects.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Windows Server Administration including Active Directory and GPO assignments.
- Proven experience with Windows Server 2008/R2/2012/2016/2019, Windows 10, and Microsoft Office Product Suite.
- 3-5 years of experience with VMware products, such as vSphere and vSAN.
- 3-5 years of database, network administration, or system administration experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with Raritan KVM (Dominion KX2, Dominion KX3, CommandCenter) highly desired.
- Microsoft Certified Solution Associate required; Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert is a plus.
- System Admin and IT certifications in Linux, VMware, or other related fields are beneficial.
- Current DOD 8140 certification (CompTIA Security CE or higher) required.
- Must have an ACTIVE DoD Secret security clearance.
