Our client is currently seeking a SharePoint Developer to join their team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting a Federal Government customer in Rosslyn, VA. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work remotely throughout the U.S. This role involves converting SharePoint sites from Classic to Modern, optimizing search functionalities, and managing site permissions for SharePoint Online. The ideal candidate must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance and is required to have resided in the U.S. for the last 5 years.

Responsibilities:
- Convert SharePoint sites from Classic to Modern while ensuring functional and design consistency.
- Configure and optimize search capabilities in SharePoint Online to enhance user experience and retrieval accuracy.
- Manage site permissions, ensuring secure and appropriate access controls are in place.
- Collaborate with the OCIO Development Team, Project Managers, and Stakeholders to develop and implement SharePoint solutions that address business needs.
- Assist with the migration of SharePoint instances from SharePoint 2016 to SharePoint Online, including rewriting and re-engineering of custom developments as necessary.
- Provide support and training to end users, empowering them to effectively maintain content on their web pages.
- Communicate regularly with end users, team leads, and team members about design proposals and project progress.
- Set up content architecture in current site structures with a focus on self-maintenance by end users.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in web-based development projects, particularly involving Microsoft technologies.
- Proven experience with SharePoint OnPremise, SharePoint Online, SharePoint Designer, and Power Platform.
- Strong proficiency in workflow development and deployment of custom SharePoint features.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions using SharePoint web parts and a combination of workflows and web development technologies.
- Experience in SharePoint development using Windows Workflow Foundation, Excel services, and Visual Studio.
- Professional development experience using .Net technologies with C#, ASP.Net for over 3 years.
- Familiarity with Nintex Workflows, PowerPlatform, and Sharegate Migration Tool.
