Job description
**Position Overview:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Traffic Control Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing traffic control operations to ensure the safety of workers, pedestrians, and motorists in various work zones. Your expertise and leadership will play a pivotal role in maintaining efficient traffic flow while adhering to safety regulations.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Supervision and Leadership:** Lead and oversee a team of traffic control technicians and coordinators. Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure they follow best practices and safety standards.

- **Traffic Control Planning:** Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and regulatory agencies to develop comprehensive traffic control plans that align with project requirements, local regulations, and safety protocols.

- **Resource Allocation:** Efficiently allocate personnel, equipment, and resources to execute traffic control plans effectively. Manage inventory and procure necessary supplies as needed.

- **On-Site Inspections:** Conduct regular on-site inspections to verify the correct implementation of traffic control measures as per approved plans. Address and rectify any deviations or issues promptly.

- **Safety Compliance:** Enforce strict adherence to safety procedures and regulations to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries. Continuously assess potential hazards and proactively take measures to mitigate them.

- **Communication:** Establish and maintain clear and effective communication channels with various stakeholders, including construction crews, subcontractors, regulatory bodies, and local communities. Provide updates on traffic control measures, schedules, and potential disruptions.

- **Emergency Response:** Develop and implement emergency response plans to address unforeseen incidents, accidents, or changing road conditions. Coordinate with relevant authorities and teams for prompt and effective responses.

- **Data Collection and Reporting:** Maintain accurate records of traffic control activities, incidents, and required documentation. Generate regular and ad hoc reports for management and regulatory compliance.

- **Quality Assurance:** Ensure the quality of traffic control installations and operations through periodic audits and assessments. Implement corrective actions to rectify any deficiencies.

**Qualifications:**

- Certification as a Traffic Control Supervisor, issued by a recognized authority or organization.

- Proven experience in traffic control management, particularly in construction or transportation sectors.

- In-depth knowledge of traffic control regulations, guidelines, and standards.

- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in traffic control software and technology.

- Ability to make informed decisions under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.

- Valid driver's license and any other necessary certifications related to traffic control.

- Track record of successful team and project management.

- Attention to detail and effective problem-solving abilities.
