Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Traffic Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of traffic around construction sites, maintaining safety protocols, and facilitating communication between various teams. This role is crucial in supporting construction activities while minimizing disruptions to the surrounding area.
Responsibilities
- Direct and control traffic flow at construction sites to ensure safety for workers and the public.
- Flagging and Laboring setting and tearing down road closures.
- Communicate effectively with construction crews and site management to coordinate activities.
- Monitor site conditions and report any hazards or issues that may affect traffic safety.
- Assist in the setup of traffic control devices, including signage, cones, and barriers.
- Conduct regular inspections of traffic control measures to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with project management teams to provide updates on site conditions and traffic flow.
- Participate in quality control measures by ensuring that all traffic management practices meet regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience in construction estimating, management, or inspection is preferred.
- Familiarity with quality control and quality inspection processes within a construction environment.
- Strong understanding of project management principles related to construction sites.
- Standing for long period of time.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $31.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 65 per week

Experience:
- Construction estimating: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
