Role Overview: As a Materials Planning Associate, you will ensure an uninterrupted supply of materials to support production and sales. You will work on-site to resolve materials issues while achieving and maintaining inventory business metrics. Your contributions will be vital to maintaining our high standards of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Additional Duties
- Overall ownership of material sent to our repair vendor network.
- Establish priorities, ensure proper material flow, while managing turn-times and estimated completion dates.
- Reschedule materials for pull-ins (expedites) and push-outs (for inventory control).
- Daily shortage management – data input/updates.
- Participate in vendor status meetings via Teams.
- Input airway bills, track shipments to-and-from vendors.
- Conduct daily walks on the warehouse floor and the receiving dock to investigate and resolve material issues/problem shelves.
- Support all lean activities, initiatives, and action workouts.
- Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
- Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and support corrective actions.
- Position may evolve to include other duties as required, such as new material or used serviceable material ordering, inventory management using Min/Max, as the business needs change.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma and 1 - 2 years of buyer, supply chain, materials, production scheduling, or related business experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field.
- Proficient in MS Excel.
- SAP (or equivalent system) knowledge and experience.
- Six Sigma Green Belt.
- Working knowledge of MRP / SAP.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
- Work Shift: 1st Shift (United States of America)
