Job Description Summary
As a key member of the Site Leadership Teams, the Reliability and Engineering Leader will have leadership accountability for all maintenance, reliability, and project engineering functions for the facility. This role will focus on the development of a comprehensive program for predictive reliability and project engineering execution. The ideal candidate will have experience leading maintenance, reliability, and project engineering teams in the chemicals or petro-chemicals industry. Most importantly, the ideal candidate will have led a complex site through development of best in class reliability programs.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead the site maintenance, reliability, and engineering teams and continuously develop their skills and experiences along with the systems and processes to drive efficiency and improved performance.
Establish clear objectives for each position, communicate them to the leaders/employees and provide opportunities for continuous dialogue and feedback on performance and development.
Partner with the site leadership team to identify and resolve key issues and constraints facing the facility as well as identify new opportunities.
Implement long-term strategies to ensure efficient execution or reliability, equipment integrity, preventive/predictive maintenance programs, and CMMS management.
Implement site processes that ensure project execution across the site are conducted in a safe, responsible and environmentally sound manner in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement a multi-year reliability strategy that focuses on predictive and preventive maintenance technologies to include fixed equipment, rotating equipment, machine lubrication, power distribution, and instrumentation systems.
Drive the development of a proactive data focused reliability culture.
Provide leadership on prioritizing expenditures that will have the greatest impact on Process Safety and Operational Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 5 years Reliability and Engineering Leadership
Desired Characteristics
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical
Engineering from an accredited college or university
Strong technical, analytical, and diagnostic skills
Strong project management skills
Knowledge of the OSHA/PSM and industry best practices API
Lean-Six Sigma certification at Greenbelt or Black-belt level
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
