As a GE Appliances Associate Financial Analyst (Distribution) you’ll be a behind-the-scenes financial champion for the transportation sector, ensuring accurate monthly financial closing and reporting, conducting quarterly account reconciliations, and providing insightful forecasts for transportation planning and budgeting. How You'll Create Possibilities
- Executes monthly financial closing and reporting procedures, including manual journal entries and system controls.
- Prepares monthly QMI and LDE volume and cost estimates, analyses, and summaries for review by the logistics finance team.
- Conducts quarterly account reconciliations to reconcile activity for the Transportation Balance Sheet.
- Provides support for the annual transportation standard setting process as well as for NPI transportation standard setting.
- Prepares transportation volume and cost forecasts for formal planning cycles, such as SRO and the annual budget.
- Provides analytical support to finance and operations teams, conducting ad-hoc analyses and identifying solutions to reporting and analysis challenges within the transportation sector.
- Team Collaboration: Effectively functions as an entry-level professional contributor within a project or team environment, with moderate supervision to achieve objectives.
- Task Execution: Capable of completing assigned tasks as instructed to meet project or assignment goals, demonstrating reliability and adherence to instructions.
- Problem Resolution: Proficient at addressing non-complex issues encountered during work, utilizing available resources, and seeking guidance as needed.
- Communication Skills: Able to articulate facts, policies, and practices related to the job area clearly and concisely, facilitating understanding among team members.
- Theoretical Knowledge: Possesses theoretical knowledge relevant to the job role, typically acquired through advanced education, which serves as a foundation for practical application.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite – particularly in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with ERP systems – particularly Oracle.
- Familiarity with SQL is also a plus!
- Holds a University Degree or equivalent experience (less than 2 years), reflecting a foundational understanding of the finance/accounting field.
- Certification in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Prior experience with manufacturing or logistics.
