How You'll Create Possibilities
- Product generalist proficient in overall architecture strategy understanding all subsystems, modules, and critical components.
- Ability to independently develop subsystems based on product requirements.
- Demonstrate understanding and anticipate subsystem level interactions, and their impact on overall architecture.
- System Thinking – Full understanding of HVAC functionality & performance “levers”.
- Subsystem Interactions – Understanding of product subsystems and common interactions.
- Regulatory Items – Understanding of product impacts of regulatory requirements as it pertains to ASHRAE, DOE, and AHRI standards.
- Competitive Analysis – Basic knowledge of the HVAC competitive landscape.
- Applies systems knowledge to assess bugs discovered in an application and understands consumer impact, likelihood of occurrence, and overall exposure.
- Expert knowledge of product function & performance tuning through parametric data. Leverage knowledge to improve diagnostic outcomes.
- Full understanding of product subsystem architecture and interfaces. Leverage knowledge to improve diagnostic outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree.
- 7 years’ experience in product design and development.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant HVAC engineering experience
- Experience specifying and designing components for HVAC equipment.
- Understand performance levers to optimize system operation.
- Experience using sensor inputs and outputs to develop operational algorithms.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills with a passion for learning.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional organization.
- Ability to design, build, and execute a test plan and clearly present data to a diverse group and openly challenge technical issues.
- Ability to work in a global environment.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word software packages.
- Up to 10% domestic/international travel required.
- 7 years of HVAC systems industry experience.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Vision for developing new product strategies.
- Expertise in Applied HVAC products.
