Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team, focusing on the sales and promotion of the CattleEye AI monitoring tool within the dairy industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, developing strategic partnerships, and promoting CattleEye's innovative cow monitoring technologies in the Northern States of America and Canada.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure sales targets are met through 3rd party and GEA distribution channels
- Ensure sufficient training and marketing material made available for distributors representing the Company’s interests at trade shows and other events as required.
- Design, implement and maintain strategies for recruiting new distributors within the region
- Design implement and maintain strategies for training and supporting GEA LE’s in selling CattleEye and acting as product champion
- Define marketing strategies, prices, and negotiations with the major customers; Stay current with changes and enhancements to the marketplace and industry standards, develop and adjust marketing plans accordingly.
- Provide superior level customer service by providing timely product information, expertise, and service as required.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to inform product development and business strategies.
Your profile and qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Animal Science, Business, or a related field
- Proven experience in business development or sales within the dairy industry.
- In-depth knowledge of dairy farming practices and herd management technologies.
- Extensive experience selling products or services to the dairy industry via both direct and indirect sales channels
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong Analytic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Ability to Travel 50% of the time to Northern States and Canada
