SUMMARY
We are looking for a business-minded psychotherapist (LMHP) with a passion for creating large and impactful psychotherapy trainings to step into our role of Clinical Business Development Manager.
This individual’s excellent relationship-building skills and marketing mind will play a key role in the growth and success of our non-profit mission.
The Clinical Business Development Manager will develop strong relationships with the thought leaders and organizations in the psychotherapy field, keep a sharp eye on new developments and important conversations across the professional domains in mental health and seek out new voices whose distinct perspectives and approaches will contribute to the valuable work of our growing audience of therapists.
With their deep clinical knowledge, this person will assist in finding creative ways to shape the ever-evolving narrative of our field through both developing and sharing fresh, innovative, and in-demand continuing education (CE) trainings.
Leadership and project management skills are a must, as is the ability to collaborate effectively with a remote team.
Responsibilities of the position
- Identify current CE training needs of psychotherapists to develop new programs, in person and online
- Build strong relationships with leading trainers from across the field and from a variety of approaches to therapy
- Collaborate with expert trainers, authors, and thought leaders to develop CE trainings, workshops, and conferences that inspire and provide needed clinical skills for therapists
- Utilize data to make critical decisions about how to market and position events that increase their reach to the right clinicians who want and need trainings in these areas and write compelling offers
- Collaborate effectively across the organization with various departments to bring CE products and programs to market on time
- Keep your clinical skills sharp by being a lifelong learner and always having a sense of where the field is headed, what clinicians want and need, and new and exciting voices who can bring those ideas to the professional community
Your Qualifications
- At least 5 years’ experience as a licensed mental health provider including psychotherapists, psychologists, counselors, social workers, or marriage and family therapists with either a master’s degree or PhD
- A keen entrepreneurial drive with the ability to act independently with a sense of urgency and the confidence to handle a variety of challenges
- Curious-minded conversationalist with great networking and marketing skills
- Skilled at generating and shaping ideas, content, learning opportunities
- Solid understanding of current trends and advances in therapy
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills—as well as a creative, flexible, and fun disposition
- Proven ability to develop and manage projects, including successful courses and events
- Flexibility to be self-motivated but also excel in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with great attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
