Outpatient Facility Emergency Department Coder - Full & Part-Time, Remote

GeBBS Healthcare Solutions is seeking experienced Outpatient Facility Emergency Department Coders to join our dynamic and growing team. This is a remote, W-2 employee position offering full-time or part-time (minimum 20 hours per week) opportunities. Job Type: Full-Time preferred or Part-Time (minimum 20 hours per week to be considered)
Key Responsibilities:
- Code all diseases and conditions in the Emergency Department according to ICD-10-CM, UHDDS, and AMA CPT-4, adhering to client specifications.
- Stay updated on all GeBBS and client coding policies and procedures, ensuring understanding of any procedure changes or additions.
- Discuss unclear information with your supervisor and/or data quality specialist for clarification.
- Maintain accuracy in diagnosis code assignment according to client and GeBBS Healthcare Solutions policies.
- Maintain required productivity levels as per client and GeBBS policies.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAApolicies regarding patient data.
- Successfully pass the Facility ED coding test provided by GeBBS Healthcare Solutions.
Requirements
- AHIMA Certification: RHIT, RHIA, or CCS credentials required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of recent Facility Emergency Department coding experience.
- Skills: Expertise in ICD-10 outpatient coding principles.
- Experience with Cerner Powerchart preferred.
