**Job Overview**
We are looking for a knowledgeable and customer-oriented Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will serve as a liaison between customers and our service department, ensuring that all service needs are met efficiently and effectively. The Service Advisor will use their mechanical knowledge and sales skills to provide exceptional service, enhance customer satisfaction, and promote our dealership's services.
**Responsibilities**
- Greet customers promptly and professionally upon their arrival at the service department.
- Assess customer needs by discussing vehicle issues and recommending appropriate services.
- Prepare accurate estimates for services, including auto estimating, brake repair, tire service, shocks and struts, and air brake systems.
- Coordinate with mechanics to ensure timely completion of repairs and services.
- Maintain clear communication with customers regarding the status of their vehicles throughout the service process.
- Upsell additional services when appropriate to enhance vehicle performance and safety.
- Document all customer interactions and maintain detailed records of services performed.
- Ensure a clean and organized service area to promote a positive customer experience.
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a dealership or automotive service environment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex automotive systems.
- Proficiency in auto estimating and familiarity with various repair services, including brake repair, tire service, shocks and struts, and air brake systems.
- Excellent sales skills with a proven ability to upsell services effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications in automotive service are a plus.
