Description:
POSITION SUMMARY: The FOH (Front of House) Supervisor communicates with and assists employees to maintain service efficiency and guest satisfaction at Market Street Grill.
REPORTS TO: General Manager
SUPERVISES: Front of House Staff
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Upholds the highest level of standards and specifications in the performance of FOH expectations.
- Sets the example for all Team Members and acts as a role model by following all company operating guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures.
- Fosters openness and communication to promote and encourage a team-oriented environment within the restaurant.
- Maintains cleanliness of and restocks front-of-the-house service stations and operations.
- Communicates with the service staff related to any requests or needs of the guests.
- Coordinate with General Manager regarding weekly schedule and daily section assignments.
- The typical work week will include nights and weekends.
- Regular and timely attendance is an expectation of the position.
- Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- A degree in Hospitality or related work experience is required.
- ServSafe Certified or the ability to obtain it.
- Valid Alcohol permit or the ability to obtain it.
- Valid driver's license is required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Physical Activity: Talking, hearing, repetitive motion, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs.
- Physical Requirements: Medium work. Exert up to thirty-five (35) pounds regularly and up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally.
- Visual Acuity: ability to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned including to make general observations of facilities.
- Conditions: the noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
