Job Qualifications
- Proficient in Jonas Club Software
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- CPA is strongly preferred but not required
- Minimum 5 years of financial management experience, preferably in a country club, HOA, or hospitality setting
- Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling, budgeting, and data analysis
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Expertise in financial planning, cash flow management, reserve fund tracking, and investment oversight
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Job Responsibilities
As a Controller in McDowell Mountain, Arizona, you will:
- Lead financial operations, including billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and ledger management
- Oversee financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting, ensuring alignment with the Association’s goals
- Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
- Present financial information to the Board, GM/COO, and FIC with clarity and visual aids
- Manage annual audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Collaborate with the Investment Committee on investment performance
- Develop and monitor operating and capital budgets with the Finance & Investment Committee
- Maintain and update the Reserve Study for capital needs assessments
- Use Jonas Club Software for financial reporting and operational analytics
- Communicate complex financial data clearly to stakeholders and serve as a financial advisor
