We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team in Lawrenceville, NJ. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of kitchen operations, and experience managing both kitchen and front-of-house teams. The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen while ensuring a seamless connection between the back-of-house and front-of-house staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities :
- Kitchen Operations Management : Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient food preparation, consistent quality, and smooth workflow in a fast-paced environment.
- Staff Leadership & Development : Lead, train, and manage kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and dishwashers. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, ensuring high standards of performance and professionalism.
- Front of House Collaboration : Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure effective communication between kitchen and service staff, ensuring timely and accurate food orders and delivery. Address and resolve any operational issues promptly.
- Menu & Recipe Management : Collaborate with the Executive Chef and management to ensure the menu is well-executed, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards. Assist with recipe creation and menu changes.
- Inventory & Ordering : Manage inventory levels, track stock, and place orders with vendors. Ensure that ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and used efficiently to minimize waste.
- Health & Safety Compliance : Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas to meet local and federal guidelines.
- Cost Control : Monitor food costs and labor costs to ensure profitability, identify areas for cost savings, and maintain high-quality standards.
- Training & Mentorship : Continuously train and mentor kitchen staff on new techniques, kitchen safety, and operational procedures. Ensure that all staff are familiar with food preparation and presentation standards.
- Customer Experience : Ensure that food quality and presentation meet customer expectations consistently. Address guest concerns or special requests in collaboration with the front-of-house team.
- Operational Efficiency : Streamline kitchen processes to ensure a smooth, fast-paced operation. Maintain high standards for food preparation, presentation, and cleanliness during busy hours.
