We are seeking a passionate and experienced Restaurant General Manager to join our team in Sayreville, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant management, excellent leadership skills, and a focus on creating a high-quality dining experience for guests. As the Restaurant General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff management, financial performance, guest satisfaction, and day-to-day operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities :
- Restaurant Operations Management : Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and high-quality dining experience for guests. Maintain consistency in food quality, service standards, and cleanliness.
- Staff Leadership & Development : Lead, train, and manage restaurant staff, including front-of-house and back-of-house teams. Foster a positive, high-energy work environment and ensure that team members are engaged, well-trained, and motivated.
- Guest Satisfaction : Ensure that every guest has an outstanding dining experience. Handle guest concerns and complaints professionally and promptly, working to resolve issues and maintain customer loyalty.
- Financial Management : Manage restaurant budgets, track financial performance, and implement strategies to maximize profitability. Monitor food costs, labor costs, and other expenses to ensure profitability while maintaining high standards of service and quality.
- Inventory & Ordering : Oversee inventory control and ordering of supplies, ensuring the restaurant has all necessary ingredients and materials while minimizing waste and controlling costs.
- Health & Safety Compliance : Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Regularly inspect the kitchen and dining areas to ensure cleanliness and safe food handling practices are maintained.
- Team Scheduling & Labor Management : Create and manage employee schedules to ensure appropriate coverage during peak hours while managing labor costs. Ensure all shifts are staffed appropriately and that employees are efficiently utilized.
- Training & Development : Conduct regular training sessions to keep staff updated on menu changes, service protocols, and operational procedures. Develop and implement training programs for new hires and existing staff members.
- Operational Efficiency : Streamline restaurant processes to enhance speed of service, improve guest satisfaction, and reduce waste. Continuously evaluate the operation and implement changes to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Marketing & Promotions : Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns and events to increase restaurant visibility and drive traffic. Monitor local trends to ensure the restaurant remains competitive in the area.
