GaN is committed to providing innovative solutions to national security challenges while always taking care of our employees, our customers, and our community.    GaN is seeking an experienced, ambitious, enthusiastic Director of Business Development to drive new business growth across various Government Agencies. Successful candidates will capture new opportunities with a focus on GaN capabilities and technical objectives. Pipeline Development and Management

  • Maintain and expand a qualified, realistic pipeline of competitive opportunities aligned with GaN offerings and customer requirements.
  • Develop, mature, and expand growth opportunities beyond the GaN customer base.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, track, and coordinate opportunities to effectively support existing and new customers' operational needs.

Capture Management

  • Provide outward-facing engagement with customers, partners, the community, and inward-facing capture management leadership.
  • Lead capture efforts, guiding new business opportunities through the Gate process to result in successful winning proposal submissions.
  •  Identify, plan, and execute strategies to maintain and expand support to existing customers.
  • Maintain and cultivate an extensive network of potential customers, teammates, and national security leadership.

Proposal Leadership / Execution

  • Implement proposal management processes and procedures  congruent with the Capture and Pricing/Cost processes.
  • Provide feedback, refinement, and improvements to the capture process to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and win probability.
  • Write specific sections of the proposal as necessary, including but not limited to the executive summary.
  •  Collaborate closely with subject matter experts, proposal teams, contracts, pricing, and talent acquisition teams in proposal development.
  • Ensure that ALL proposals follow the established process and are compliant and high-quality representative GaN proposals.

Resource Management

  • Manage Capture Management Personnel in support of pipeline development.
  • Grow the Capture Management / Business Development team commensurate to attained corporate growth.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Request debriefs as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills / Qualities

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education.
  • 10 years of operations/project management experience and/or business development experience in a government setting.
  • Established relationships with Government customers and industry teaming partners.
  • Proven experience successfully leading new business Capture efforts on Prime competitive bids.
  • Experience developing, growing, and managing a $100 million qualified pipeline.
  • Track record of competing for and winning individual contracts valued at >$50M.
  • Ability to develop solutions, conduct competitive assessments, and shape strategy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to engage with managers, and customers at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage workload, priorities, and schedules with minimal supervision, and maintain the highest ethical standards.

Special Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Must be a US Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Must have a Secret clearance or be capable of obtaining an interim Secret clearance.
  • Must believe that a conference table made of Lego’s supporting Thursday night D&D Campaign is just too cool.
