Customer Service Representative - Printed Packaging
GEI Graphics Services, LLC is a family-owned studio focused on production art, prepress, and platemaking services. We are proud to service printers and CPG’s in auto, food, beverage, landscape and a variety of other markets. Print processes served are primarily flexo, litho and gravure for the packaging and labeling marketplace.
We are growing and looking to expand our team with talented individuals. Ideal candidate will have experience in flexo printing or flexible packaging / labeling. Core business is partnering with clients to be the best in class service provider to ensure successful reproduction of design into final printed components. Our team converts complex production art files into press ready prepress files to be utilized for final plate production.
The CSR role will be multifaceted with roles in production, sales, management, and developing continuous improvement plans / documentation. Position will involve client interactions to discuss printing specs, timing and expectations. The environment can be fast paced with a small company feel and approach. Must have knowledge of printing processes and be able guide client, generate orders for prepress team, and correlate production tasks to rate cards for invoicing.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring clients receive timely communication
- Ensuring quality and service are always first for the client
- Ensuring client deliverables have accurate traps, color sequence, minimum dot values, distortions and correct specifications
- Providing value to client by proactively identifying any potential issue along with potential solutions during review of design file
- Quality assurance of proofs and plates prior to release to clients
- E-filing of client communications, graphic files on server, and compiling correct information for invoicing
- Balance client timelines with production schedules
Qualifications
- Proven track record of being a team player and problem solver
- Degree is preferred. Industry experience is required.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite along with other graphic software is a plus
- Be able to read technical print specifications: press direction, BWR, packaging dies, stepping information, etc
- Positive attitude looking to be instrumental in continuous process improvement
