What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant II position at GEICO?
The Controller department is seeking analytical and highly motivated individuals to perform a full range of advanced accounting activities in support of assuring timely and accurate general accounting records.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and record journal entries.
- Perform account reconciliations.
- Conduct advanced accounting activities for financial statement and / or cost-benefit analysis for more complex accounting entities.
- Prepare accounting analyses which may include actuals vs. plan or costs vs. budgets and research appropriate explanations of variances.
- Cross-functional collaboration projects to enhance and re-design processes and procedures.
You will be successful in this role if you have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, are self-motivated and able to work independently as well as a part of team.
Qualifications :
Location : Chevy Chase, MD; This is a hybrid role. The team is in the office Tuesday - Thursday.
Annual Salary
72,000.00 - $126,000.00
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate / annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
