Shore United Bank is seeking a full-time Accountant II to join our team. The Accountant II is responsible for the accurate and timely maintenance of general ledger activities including preparation of accounting entries specific to correspondent bank accounts, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, monthly accruals, holding company transactions, and oversight over specific general ledger accounts. Responsibilities also include preparation of bank reconciliations and analytics for key management projects.

Essential Functions Include
- Assists with the preparation or completion of the following:
- Period-end close (month, quarter, and year end)
- Monthly financial reporting package
- Audit schedules for internal and external audits
- Account analysis and explanation of variances against budget and forecast
- Budget preparation
- Fulfillment of subpoena requests
- Accounts payable and accruals
- General ledger entries and account reconciliations
- Bank reconciliations and cash management
- Prepares weekly and monthly reports
- Completes required regulatory training assigned on or before the deadlines
- Performs other duties as assigned to support department needs
- Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Company’s compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g., Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, etc.
- Participates in required training sessions, including training for compliance with BSA/AML policies and procedures.

- Exempt.
- Days of Work: Monday-Friday.
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of accounting or finance.
- Minimum of five years of experience in private or public accounting.
- Experience working with a public company
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and be familiar with accounting software
- The pay range for this position is $67,100 to $82,900 annually.
- Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on factors such as relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, licensure requirements and/or skill level, and will be finalized at the time of offer.
