GEICO is seeking an analytical and strategic Assistant Insurance Product Manager to join our growing team and support the development and implementation of our insurance products. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with an interest in building GEICO's product portfolio.
This position is a hybrid role.
The ideal applicant would be skilled in managing large programs/initiatives, would be highly technical and drive the sales experience. We are looking for a committed, experienced, and energetic individual to join our growing product team. Under general direction, executes end-to-end ownership of assigned states, products, processes, or product features. This includes identifying and executing strategic plans to position assigned area for long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full ownership of high-complexity business problems, plan items, product features and/or product lines
- Build strong relationships with other business units and leads strategic direction for the long-term success of assigned areas.
- Solves complex problems despite limited or imperfect data.
- Analyzes, selects, and implements new and complex pricing and product design strategies.
- Manages relationships with external parties, including vendors, insurance organizations and regulators.
- Advocates company position in legal and compliance matters.
- Adheres to the GEICO Code of Conduct, company policies and operating principles.
- Meets attendance standard at business location to perform necessary job functions and to facilitate interaction with management and co-workers.
Qualifications:
- Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Finance, Math/Actuarial Science or related field of study (e.g. Statistics) or a bachelor’s degree and experience analyzing and interpreting quantitative data to draw conclusions and make recommendations based on that data
- 5 or more years of experience in product management, insurance, data analysis or a related field (insurance experience strongly preferred).
- Must be able to think strategically and possess strong leadership skills
- Must have strong relationship building, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Must be action oriented with superior problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions independently
Annual Salary
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
