Join the dedicated team at Geisinger's Heart and Vascular Institute! We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider to enhance our dynamic practice at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA.
The Heart & Vascular Institute operates across a 45-county region and comprises over 100 physicians and 75 advanced practitioners. Our state-of-the-art center is known for its accredited chest pain centers, an advanced STEMI PCI network, complex arrhythmia ablation procedures, a comprehensive range of cardiovascular interventions, and robust heart failure programs.
The ideal candidate will :
- Work collaboratively with physicians to evaluate, diagnose, and treat adult cardiac patients within our cardiology service.
- Demonstrate independence in assessing patients, diagnosing conditions, providing treatments, and delivering follow-up care.
- Ensure smooth operational flow in the inpatient cardiology unit, outpatient clinics, cardiac labs, and outreach facilities.
- Order necessary tests and maintain proficiency in interpreting results and prescribing medications according to their scope of practice.
Applicants for the Nurse Practitioner role should possess a certificate from an accredited NP program and must be eligible for certification as well as licensure in Pennsylvania. Likewise, candidates for the Physician Assistant position must be graduates of an ARC-approved PA program and eligible or certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants and the State Board of Medicine.
