We are seeking a highly motivated Advanced Practice Nurse Addiction Specialist to join our team in Scranton, Pennsylvania. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled nurse practitioner to contribute to the delivery of integrated mental health and substance use disorder services.
The successful candidate will participate in Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) in community-based settings and receive additional clinical training beyond the didactic component. This will include professional peer-to-peer support to assist trained advanced practice nurses and physician assistants in initiating their provision of MOUD.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with care givers inside and outside of the immediate care team to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Develop assessment and treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
- Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patient's medical, physical, and psychosocial status.
- Provide education and counseling to patients covering health status, test results, disease processes, and discharge planning.
