About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ambulatory Clinical Specialist to join our team in the Northeast region. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care and clinical support to physicians and other providers in an outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring they are comfortable and informed throughout the process.
- Collects and reviews pertinent information about patients, including their medical history and current condition.
- Performs technical duties such as EKGs, wound dressings, and assists with minor surgical procedures and ancillary examinations.
- Documents all interactions and treatments in the electronic medical record, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Supports a safe environment for patients by following infection prevention protocols and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements:
- Degree from an accredited 1-year certificate or 2-year diploma Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assist (RMA) required, certified by one of the listed governing associations: NHA, AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, AAH, or AMCA.
- Minimum of 1 year-related work experience preferred.
