Float Medical Assistant - Northeast Region

The Float Medical Assistant role at Geisinger offers an exciting opportunity to work in various clinics and locations throughout the northeast region. As a certified medical assistant, you will provide direct patient care, support administrative tasks, and collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for exams and procedures, collect vital signs, and document information in the electronic medical record.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and tests, as needed.
• Perform phlebotomy, collect and prepare laboratory specimens, and support minor surgical procedures.
• Support administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, filing reports, and responding to phone calls and inquiries.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited 1-year certificate or 2-year diploma Medical Assistant program.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assist (RMA) required.
• Basic Life Support Certification within 6 months.
