Responsibilities
- Evaluate and establish presumptive diagnoses, implementing appropriate treatment plans for assigned patient populations.
- Accurately document entries into electronic medical records, order diagnostic testing as needed, and consult with colleagues when necessary. Prescribe evidence-based medical therapy.
- Administer medications, adjust or discontinue therapies as required, and report significant risks to collaborating physicians.
- Perform procedures within the licensed scope of practice for nurse practitioners.
- Communicate effectively with collaborative physicians, patients, primary care physicians, and referring staff through various means, including telephone correspondence.
