Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide exceptional patient care and clinical support in an outpatient setting.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical assisting and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for preparing patients for visits, collecting and reviewing pertinent information, performing technical duties, and documenting using the electronic medical record.
In addition to your clinical skills, you will also provide administrative and clerical support for the clinic, including patient scheduling, filing reports, and following up on documentation, phone calls, and billing inquiries.
Responsibilities:
- Obtains and documents patient's reason for visit, weight, vital signs, visit screening information, medication review, and pertinent information for provider.
- Sets up examination and treatment rooms between cases.
- Assists patient as needed to prepare for visit with provider, takes appropriate measures to assure patient's safety and privacy.
- Provides direct patient care as directed by provider based on competency and needs of clinic, such as performs EKGs, wound dressings, diabetic foot exam, and functions as support to the provider during minor surgical procedures and ancillary examinations.
