Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Clinical Support Associate to join our team in the Northeast region. As a Medical Assistant, you will provide direct patient care and clinical support for physicians and other providers in the outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction: Interact with patients to obtain and document information, including reason for visit, weight, vital signs, and medication review
- Examination Room Preparation: Prepare examination and treatment rooms between cases
- Clinical Support: Provide direct patient care as directed by providers, including technical procedures such as EKGs, wound dressings, and minor surgical procedures
- Administrative Support: Perform receptionist and clerical duties to support patient care and functioning of the clinic, including scheduling appointments and communicating with providers and staff
- Documentation and Communication: Document patient interactions and communicate with providers and staff as needed
Requirements: Graduate of an accredited 1-year certificate or 2-year diploma Medical Assistant program preferred. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assist (RMA) required. Certification by one of the listed governing associations is also necessary.
