We are seeking a board eligible or board certified Nocturnist Advanced practitioner to join our team at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA.
About the Role
- In collaboration with physicians, provide care to new or established patients.
- Demonstrate autonomy through patient evaluation, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
- Undertake triage, telephone communication, and patient education in cooperation with nursing, staff physicians, and other department staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Makes accurate and complete entries into the electronic medical record.
- Orders and interprets diagnostic testing and consults as appropriate.
- Prescribes appropriate medical therapy utilizing evidence-based practice.
- Evaluates and reports to collaborating physician any circumstances or approaches to medical management or test results that present a significant risk to patient's health or well-being.
- Communicates with collaborative physician, patient, PCP, and referring staff through telephone or other means of correspondence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree-Physician Assistant (Required), Master's Degree-Physician Assistant (Preferred)
