Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant - Cardiology
Geisinger's Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the cardiology department at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania.
About Us
Our team provides care in 5 acute care tertiary/quaternary hospitals, 4 community hospitals, and numerous outreach locations. Together, we perform over 10,000 cardiac procedures annually.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians to assess, diagnose, and treat adult cardiac patients referred to the cardiology service
- Demonstrate autonomy through patient evaluations, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care
- Order testing as deemed necessary and remain proficient in interpreting results and prescribing appropriate medication regimen within the scope of practice of the nurse practitioner
Requirements
- Certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners or be eligible to hold national certification that allows the NP to work with the patient populations and location settings associated with this position
- Eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA
