Emergency Department Technician II - Rotating Shift

Job Details:

Key Responsibilities:
- Provides basic patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and practices.
- Triage patient needs by identifying, observing, and documenting physical requirements.
- Assists patient care staff with procedures such as phlebotomy, wound care, splinting, EKGs, and blood glucose monitoring.
- Performs unit desk clerk functions when necessary.
- Ensures the integrity of specimens according to policy and procedure.
- Transports medications and blood products as required.
- Monitors safety and suicide risks.
- Has access to non-controlled medication storage areas and can transport medications as needed.
