Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our sales team as a Foodservice Sales Intern. In this role, you will assist our Area Sales Managers in achieving sales targets, building client relationships, and promoting products to restaurants, cafeterias, and other foodservice establishments. Your primary responsibilities will include participating in multiple projects, such as reviewing mid-year results, creating a Good, Better, Best portfolio, attending summer shows and broker trainings, and optimizing orders.
Responsibilities
- Participate in multiple projects under the guidance of an Area Sales Manager
- Assist in reviewing mid-year results at the item level, analyzing category growth vs. core item growth, identifying open opportunities in regions, and supporting ASM with building story/deck using market and product trends, BDM & Marketing resources
- Work with the BDM Team to create a Good, Better, Best Portfolio from core & strategic categories, identify at-risk categories, and establish product subs
- Attend summer shows/broker trainings and optimize orders when time permits
Qualifications
- Rising Junior or Senior in college/university, pursuing bachelor's degree in a related field
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
- Strong business acumen and analytical ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and organization skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and bias for action
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Demonstrated personal and professional values
