Supply Planner

Summary/Objective

The Supply Planner I plays a vital role in ensuring optimal inventory levels to support business goals. Primary responsibilities revolve around purchase order entry and management and supporting the Supply Chain team as a whole. The Supply Planner will be expected to coordinate with stake holders across the entire organization to enable the success of GGG in meeting customer expectations while maximizing operational efficiency. Must be able to work in a complex and cross functional environment and be able to respond quickly to any changes or disruptions caused by suppliers, logistics, compliance, QA or otherwise.

Essential Functions

• Plan, place and modify purchase orders & distribution orders based on MRP.
• Communicate with international suppliers to confirm production schedules, order status and delivery timelines.
• Coordination with logistics, import clearance and warehouse teams to ensure timely arrival and clearance.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain Team senior planners & team leads to ensure proper planning and stocking parameters are configured to properly account for forecast, lead times, safety stock, shelf life, MOQ, and transportation utility.
• Proactively review inventory to minimize excess, aging, expired or dead stock and escalating with appropriate parties as needed.
• Adhere to mutually agreed upon KPI’s such as PO Volume and Accuracy as well Costing accuracy.
• Partner on team KPI’s such as fill rate, DIOH, spoils, dead stock, Planned Order generation vs Manual etc.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
  
  

Skills And Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field and/or equivalent experience in the Food industry
• Experience using ERP systems - ideally Infor M3
• Familiar with procurement, logistics, and inventory management practices
• Demonstrable experience using MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word etc.)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (i.e. pivot tables, v-lookups)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
