What are the responsibilities and job description for the Booking Expert and Administrative Assistant position at Gem Air, LLC?
Gem Air is an air service company based in Salmon, Idaho.
We are looking for a seasonal/temporary customer service/office assistant
February 2025 through September 2025: Part time from February-May, Full time from June-September. Could evolve into permanent seasonal.
The ideal candidate is an organized people-person who has experience working in a customer-focused office environment. Bonus points if you are extremely familiar with Main Salmon and Middle Fork rafting logistics and outfitters.
Main responsibilities include:
· Using our operations software to take reservations over the phone, making changes to reservations, updating reservations
· Accurately transferring data from paperwork into our computer systems, checking/data entry/data management
· Greeting passengers in the office, answering their questions, and managing passenger traffic
· Answering phones and directing calls
· Weighing and organizing bags for pilots
· Communicating schedule changes to customers
· Cleaning the office and bathrooms
· Could include helping clean airplanes
· Problem solving of all sorts!
· Other duties as required
Requirements for this job
· Work experience and high confidence working with computers
· Demonstrated people skills, ideally through customer service experience.
· Weekend availability – both Saturday and Sunday work likely June-September
· Be able to interact with people in a professional, friendly manner, even under stress
· Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
Schedule
20-25 hours a week from February through May, either Monday-Thursday, or Monday – Friday
35-40 hours a week from June- September, either 4 long days or 5 regular days. Must be available weekends, including Sundays. Exact schedule to be determined in conjunction with other employees’ schedules.
Pay
$16-$20/hr, DOE.
