GEMCO Medical, a well-established and growing healthcare distribution company shipping over 5,000 packages a day with detailed accuracy, has an IMMEDIATE OPENING for a Warehouse Team Lead whose function includes monitoring, coordinating, coaching in leading the daily activities of a team of warehouse associates that receive, store, pack and ship healthcare products and medical supplies to a required destination.
The warehouse is fully air conditioned in summer, heated in the winter.Clean environment: not dusty, dark, or dirty.
No protective clothing required. Dress code is comfortable clothing (sneakers, t-shirts, jeans, etc. all acceptable)
Full-time schedule Monday through Friday; 9:15 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Position is located in Hudson, OH.
Responsibilities
Help coordinate all shipping and/or receiving activities using best practices and established standards.
Assist in monitoring warehouse associate productivity.
Aid in establishing standards and procedures.
Help maintain equipment to be fully functional and safe in its operation.
Secure company assets.
Provide leadership, guidance and direction to department personnel as required.
Facilitate a safe and friendly work environment.
Core Competencies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient computer and above average math skills.
Ability to give direction, feedback, and provide training.
Good coach, motivator and team builder
1-2 years’ experience in a distribution environment.
Ability to stand, walk, for entire shift.
Ability to lift at minimum 50 pounds (occasionally)
Education/Experience
Attention to detail.
Knowledge of Hazardous Materials and Protected freight shipping requirements a plus.
Knowledge of OSHA compliance requirements helpful.
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
