Position – Purchasing Manager
The Purchasing Manager position is classified as supporting an administrative support department for the Regional Care Group network. The incumbent hired will represent Regional Care Group network on official communications.
Position Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement efforts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our supply chain, ensuring that we have the necessary materials and products to meet our production goals. This role requires a strong understanding of procurement management and contract negotiation, as well as the ability to work effectively with vendors and manage inventory levels.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and maintain purchasing systems for supplies, materials and services
- Ensure inventory levels of supplies, forms, equipment, etc. are maintained for Regional Care Group and its customers
- Handle and manage all purchasing requests, ensuring that they are processed within the established timeline
- Oversee contracts with major office supply vendors, ensuring they are rebid every three years
- Prepare requests for proposals for contracts and handle competitive bidding according to policies
- Track expenditures for Health Care and 401k accounts and collaborate with the finance team on related tasks
- Supervise and manage Purchasing Department staff, including hiring, training and evaluating performance
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business related field
- 4 years of relevant experience
