What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reporting Business Analyst position at Gen II?
As a business analyst you will be mainly focused on developing and enhancing GEN II’s waterfall tool, set up of new waterfalls and ongoing support of existing waterfalls.
Primary Responsibilities Will Include:
Business support:
- Assist and support business teams on the day-to-day requests.
- Act as a liaison for the business users by mastering different in-house platforms and the interfaces (Fund accounting platforms to Waterfall tool).
- Work with client service teams to validate their requirements.
- Provide training for users to enhance user adoption.
- Analyze and challenge business requirements to implement new features.
- Identify possible enhancements in the existing systems.
- Act as a business analyst by learning the core business (Private equity, Accounting)
- Develop reports and features in accounting platforms.
- Participate on global teams evaluating processes and making suggestions for process and system improvements.
- Develop communication, training materials, and testing and implementation plans for enhancements and systems, processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements, Skills, Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or related field.
- 2 years of experience
- Advanced Excel user.
- Ability to manipulate large sets of data.
- Fast learning and ability to adapt quickly to a new environment.
- Ability to prioritize, think independently, and handle multi-tasks.
- High analytical ability and thinking out of the box.
- Strong attention to details.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of Allvue, Sage Intacct, Investran or any other Fund Accounting platform
- Knowledge/General understanding of investment fund accounting particularly allocation or fund’s waterfall, and fund’s performance measurements.
- Knowledge of at least one scripting language (Javascript, VBA…).
- Experience/Knowledge of SQL queries and data management.
- Experience/Knowledge of report writing tools such as Crystal, QlikView, etc.
The salary range for this position $70,000-$95,000, in addition to a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits package. Please note that the actual salary offer within that range will depend on the candidate’s experience level.
Work Arrangement
