Job Summary:
We are seeking a Patient Service Representative (PSA) to support our practice/department in providing high-quality patient care. The PSA plays a key role in managing patient interactions, from check-in to check-out, handling inquiries, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and assisting with front-office administrative tasks.
This role may require working in a medical office or call center setting and may involve rotating between functions or departments as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist patients, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments as necessary.
- Answer patient inquiries via phone and in person, providing accurate information.
- Verify and update patient insurance and billing details.
- Collect co-payments and document point-of-service transactions.
- Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and medical staff.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Support overall patient satisfaction, operational goals, and workflow efficiency.
- Perform additional administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
